Who are you?
We’re Hard Core Harvest Wellness Center based in Detroit.
There’s a line of excited people outside your booth for an array of products. What did you bring that excites you?
We brought the Ace of Spades which is pretty great. We’ve also got a localized breeder who brought some Crunchberry (Larry OG x Violator Kush) and that’s an exclusive. We’ve got quite a few to be excited about that people are checking out here at the Cannabis Cup.
There’s been a lot of talk about the Ace of Spades over the weekend. What makes it special in your opinion?
The grower’s name is Steve Blair — he’s just a local guy. He doesn’t give out too many of his secrets, but he turns out a good product.
How’s the Cup been so far — what’s the reception you’ve been getting here at the Auto City Speedway?
I think we were a little unprepared, but we’re seeing a ton of people. It was definitely a good turnout; for sure better than we expected.
What’s the scene like here in Michigan for industry folks like yourself?
Well, I don’t know about full legalization just yet, but I think the 4271 Initiative will go through — I believe that. I think it’s a good first step, but there’s a lot of work to be done. We have the right people at the NPRA who are pushing the legislation and the right lobbyists. It’s definitely going to be a very welcome scene soon.
At this point for us it’s been an emotional rollercoaster. We’re optimistic, but it hasn’t happened yet. We’re getting enough good news that it might be tipping us in the right direction though.
